President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov met with President of the United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovich and President of the United World Wrestling-Asia Daulet Turlykhanov. The meeting took place within the framework of the Asian Championship in Greco-Roman, Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling, which started in Bishkek, the press service of the head of state reported. The president noted that it is a great honor for Kyrgyzstan to host the Asian Youth Championship in two age groups. Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that freestyle, Greco-Roman wrestling and women’s wrestling are especially popular in Kyrgyzstan. Most of the youth are engaged in this sport, achieve great success on world platforms and continue to glorify Kyrgyzstan.
“We are making a lot of efforts at the state level in terms of developing this sport in our country and improving the relevant infrastructure. The state will continue to support athletes who train hard and achieve success in every possible way,” Sadyr Zhaparov said.
He expressed confidence that the Kyrgyz wrestlers would continue to achieve success in wrestling sports inherited from their ancestors.
Sadyr Zhaparov focused on the fact that the Kyrgyz side is interested in further in-depth cooperation with these international sports organizations. In turn, President of the United World Wrestling Nenada Lalovich expressed gratitude to the head of state for the warm welcome and support provided in holding the Asian Championship.
“We will continue our work and fruitful cooperation with the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan, which has extensive experience in developing and popularizing our martial arts. I want to note the great success, the breakthrough of the Kyrgyz wrestlers in the international arena. Undoubtedly, there is a lot of work behind this success,” Nenada Lalovich emphasized.
President of the United World Wrestling-Asia Daulet Turlykhanov also thanked the Organizing Committee, thanks to which the Asian Greco-Roman, freestyle and women’s wrestling championship is held in Bishkek at a high level.
“Wrestlers from Kyrgyzstan are leaders not only on the Asian continent, they successfully glorify the country around the world,” he added.
At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov awarded President of the United World Wrestling Nenad Lalovich with the Certificate of Honor of the Kyrgyz Republic , President of the United World Wrestling-Asia Daulet Turlykhanov – with the Dank Medal.
At the same time, for an outstanding contribution to the development of wrestling and strengthening the spirit of solidarity, friendship and mutual understanding, President Sadyr Zhaparov was awarded the highest award of the United World Wrestling (UWW). – Kabar
