A humanitarian aid sent from Turkmenistan to Afghanistan following the deadly earthquake in the Afghan provinces of Khost and Paktika arrived in Kabul.
The aid consisted of 24.7 tons of cargo, including food, medicines, hygiene products and household essentials produced in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said in its press release.
The delivery of the humanitarian aid was carried out in accordance with the instructions of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Last Wednesday, a 5.9-magnitude earthquake hit the southern parts of Afghanistan, killing more than 1,000 people and injuring more than 2,000, according to the media reports.
The earthquake was reportedly felt in neighbouring provinces including the country’s capital Kabul, as well as in Pakistan, and India.
