First Deputy Mayor of Osh Mars Isaev met with Secretary General of TURKSOY Sultan Raev.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the planned Forum of Heads of National Commissions of UNESCO Turkic Speaking States in October this year. The event is planned to be attended by representatives from eight countries: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey, Hungary, Turkmenistan, Tatarstan and Yakutia.
In addition, issues of raising the status of the sacred mountain Sulaiman-Too, the symbol of Osh city, through solving the issues of improving the infrastructure of the surrounding area, creating appropriate conditions to attract tourists were raised.
TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Raev noted the need to consolidate and develop the tourist brand of Osh, the concept around its rich traditions of customs.
“For our part, we will provide the necessary support,” he added.
In his turn, Mars Isaev thanked for the support and expressed the initiative for fruitful interaction and cooperation for the rich future of tourist Osh – provider of the Great Silk Road.
The main objective of the event will be to promote the tourism potential of the city of Osh – provider of the Great Silk Road.
The meeting of the deputy Osh mayor and secretary general of TURKSOY discussed organizational aspects of the forum, which will be a comprehensive presentation of tourist opportunities in Osh, a media tour for the media and bloggers of Turkic-speaking states, large-scale ethno-cultural events to demonstrate the richness of culture, traditions, life and historical values of the peoples and ethnic groups living in Osh.
