PanamaLeaksLAHORE, April 14: The Lahore High Court (LHC) has issued notices to the federal government, the interior ministry, NAB and the Sharif family in the Panama leaks case.
PTI leader Gauhar Nawaz Sindu and other petitioners have taken the plea that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not disclose details of his and his children assets while filing nomination papers in connection with general election for 2013.
It was alleged that the prime minister gave wrong statement in the nomination papers about his assets and following the Panama leaks disclosures, the details of secret assets of the PM and his family members have come to the fore. Therefore, the NAB should be ordered to take action against Nawaz and his family, the petitioners have pleaded.
On the request of petitioners, the court ordered that Panama leaks documents should be made part of the record. The court also issued notices to the respondents and sought replies in one week.-Online
