SRINAGAR, May 4: In occupied Kashmir, the Secretary General of All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah has emphasized that no amount of Indian state terrorism will deter the people of Kashmir from continuing their inalienable right to self-determination.
He was speaking at a function that was organized to launch a book titled ‘Innocence outraged’ written by APHC leader Muhammad Yousuf Naqash. The chief guest of the function, Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai also spoke on the occasion. Others who addressed the event included Mohammad Yousuf Naqash, Pervaiz Imroz and Hakeem Abdul Rasheed. They said that India was using Kashmiri women as a weapon to suppress the liberation movement.
The book exposes the gory event of Kashmiri women Aasiya and Neelofar who were killed by Indian troops after being gang raped in May 2009. The family members of the victims also attended the function.
The All Parties Hurriyet Conference in a statement in Srinagar, Wednesday, terming India’s composite township plan for Pandit community as uncalled for warned that division of Kashmiri people on communal basis would not be acceptable, at any cost. The APHC Spokesman, Ayaz Akbar, described the separate colonies as a deep-rooted conspiracy hatched by RSS and BJP to settle non-locals in the garb of Kashmiri Pandits.
Hurriyet leaders Zafar Akbar Butt and Mukhtar Ahmad Waza addressing public gatherings in Badgam and Islamabad districts said that dialogue was the only way for peaceful resolution of the Kashmir dispute. Meanwhile, Indian Army launched a massive search operation in Kupwara district. The reports said that troops had launched the operation in Kralpora, Dardsun, Rishigund, Guzryal, Warsun, Chowkibal, Zonrishi and Budnumbal areas of the district.-KMS
