ISLAMABAD, June 1: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan while addressing the National Press Club Governing Body said that corruption has destroyed Pakistan’s political structure.
Khan further said that if democracy was derailed in Pakistan it would be due to the current government policies.
Stressing the need for strengthening institutions, khan said some individuals were hijacking the entire political system.
While referring to David Cameron’s explanation over his involvement in Panama leaks scandal, Khan said that “PM Cameron’s only fault is to pay less in taxes; he did not abuse his powers.”
The PTI chief further said that after the Panama scandal, Nawaz Sharif had no moral authority or right to continue as the head of the government.
According to him, as long as Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is head of the government, fair investigation of the Panama leaks cannot take place.-Sabah
