ISLAMABAD, June 8: Ameer, Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has said that the US was bent upon destroying regional peace by patronizing India unjustifiably.
Speaking at an Iftar dinner in Islamabad Sirajul Haq said that the drone attacks in Pakistan and all out support to India for Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) membership, was a clear evidence of US’s enmity towards Pakistan and her pro- India approach.
The JI chief stressed that the instead of becoming a party to the US conspiracies, the Pakistan government should apprise the world community of the US designs and an effective voice should be raised against the US approach.
Sirajul Haq said that the designs of the US, Israel and India to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project had come to surface. He said the secret agencies of these countries had laid a net work of conspiracies against this project and the Pakistan government was under constant pressure.
He said it appeared the entire federal government had become sick after the ailment of the Prime Minister and nobody had the courage to speak against the US aggression. The government was solely concerned with making Islamabad a safe city whereas the masses were groaning under the price hike and their life and property were not safe.
He said the rulers should realize that if the life, property and honour of the masses was not secure, they could rise in revolt any moment. Sirajul Haq said the government’s silence over Indian spy Kal Boshan’s issue was significant and it appeared that the Indian spy could also be released and sent to India with protocol like Raymond Davis. He said that the government was consistently under pressure from the US and India and it would take a decision just in line with the US dictation.
He said that Kal Boshan had already confessed his nefarious designs besides the New Delhi’s patronage. He said that playing host to the enemy spy so far and failure in raising this issue with the UN and the world institutions only showed Islamabad’s weakness and the incompetence of the Foreign Office. He stressed that Kal Boshan should be immediately presented before the UN and world forums and they be apprised of New Delhi’s designs to disturb regional peace.-Sabah
