With this statement to an Afghanistan newspaper, Mian nawaz Sharif’s outspoken ally and the Chief of Milli Awami Party Mahmood Khan Achakzai made bare his real character, his hidden soul, and his agenda for the future. He has been an outspoken critic of Pakistan Army and the concept of integrated Pakistani Nationhood for quite long, and I am tempted to state that it is not despite this aspect of the Pakhtoon leader, but because of it that our power – hungry and businessman prime minister holds him dear to his heart, and has showered his favours on him with unrestrained generosity. Achakzhi’s brother was made governor, and several of his relatives happen to be enjoying quite privileged positions in Baluchistan as allies of MNS.
Even if the meanings of the term Traitor are modified, this man has now qualified to be thrown out of Pakistan’s parliament, arrested on the charges of high treason, and tried in a summary court, so that adequate message goes to the anti-Pakistan forces patronized by the U.S-India axis. It is Pakistan’s misfortune that its prime minister today is a person who has surrounded himself with people whose loyalties to this country cannot but be held in doubt. He is blinded by his ambitions to become a tycoon of the stature and the dimensions of Ambani, Mittal, Tata and Birla.
Pakistan of Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah cannot afford to be led by such a person at this critical juncture of its history when this region has become a kind of political battle field in the tussle between America and China to acquire dominance.
The goal of the U.S-India axis clearly is to blow up the Pak China Economic Corridor project with the help of such forces as are symbolized in the person of Mahmood Khan Achakzai.
It is time for the Military leadership of Pakistan with the support of the patriotic political parties to act forcefully and immediately and crush the conspiracy against the future of Pakistan.
