- Says if accountability of Prime Minister is held then Pakistan will be changed

CHITRAL, June 30: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Thursday stated that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is in London because he cannot handle pressure after Panama Papers revelations. He said accountability of prime minister is necessary to root out corruption from the country. He said all opposition parties are united on the point that the accountability of prime minister should be held; otherwise accountability of any other corrupt person in the country should not be held.
Speaking to a private TV channel in Chitral, Imran Khan claimed that Nawaz Sharif’s assets abroad prove that he is involved in corruption and money laundering.
PML-N is trying to save Sharif through terms of reference (ToRs) of their own choice, he added.
He said that suspects facing corruption charges should also be released from jails if the Prime Minister is not held accountable.
Pakistan will be saved and poverty will end if the action is taken, he said. He said if action is not taken against prime minister than all the prisoners present in jails of the country should be freed. He said if the law of the country could not be applied on prime minister than this law should not be applied on any citizen. He said it is proved that the properties of family of Nawaz Sharif worth billions of rupees are present abroad.
He said if action could not be taken him then action should not be taken against anyone in country. He said if accountability of prime minister is held than Pakistan will be changed.-Sabah
