Gen John Nicholson, Commander Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan called on COAS Gen Raheel Sharif at GHQ in Rawalpindi on Wednesday.

RAWALPINDI, July 20: Commander US Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan General John Nicholson on Wednesday called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif.
During the meeting regional security issues and matters of mutual interest including border management mechanism along Pakistan-Afghanistan border were discussed. They also shared views on the way forward for lasting peace in Afghanistan.
The visiting dignitary lauded the role of Pakistan Armed Forces in breaking the nexus of terrorists and efforts for bringing peace in the region. -DNA
