CMKPKPervezKhattak1PESHAWAR, August 4: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has aid it is important to have a conceptual sketch for the safe/smart city Peshawar but it is more important to move ahead with a comprehensive operational plan to integrate the entire central belt comprising five districts including Peshawar, Nowshera, Mardan, Charsadda, Swabi and to be extendable to the militancy hit regions of the province.
He was presiding over a meeting on safe/smart city Peshawar at Chief Minister’s Secretariat Peshawar here Thursday. Chief Secretary Amjad Ali Khan, Sahibzada Saeed, Razi Sayyed, Country Manager, Mian Saaduddin, Sales Director, Sami Sayyed Capture Manager and Baber Saleem Engineering Manager of Motorolla Solutions attended the meeting. The Chief Minister said that today safety and security, this region needed more than before. His government has already redirected the province towards rapid growth. This growth was first visualized and then given a practical shape through a collective decision making. This vision has different packages. Some are in economic sector and some others in reforms and education. The ultimate desire is to have rapid growth and development to be spelt out by permanent peace.
Welcoming the plan for the overall safety and security discussed in the meeting, the Chief Minister said his government was going all out to leave behind a legacy that will be known as a legacy for good governance, transparency and accountability in all public sectors affairs. His government wanted a safety net for the people of the province and would welcome all the technical and financial backing by our friendly countries. The Chief Minister nominated Sahibzada Saeed as the focal person of the project safe/smart city Peshawar. Earlier, Motorola Solutions gave a detailed presentation about greater safe/smart city. The meeting agreed to move forward on a safe/smart city project for greater Peshawar Valley with future expansion to the entire belt and chalk out modalities on fast-track to make it a reality in shortest possible time.-PR
