ISLAMABAD, September 16: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has vowed to take war on terrorism to its logical conclusion. He was talking to Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Raheel Sharif who called on him in Islamabad on Friday
According to official sources, the two high-ups discussed various matters pertaining to internal and regional security, especially the ongoing Zarb-e-Azb operation. The Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed satisfaction over security situation of the country, and vowed that war against militancy and terrorism will continue.
The prime minister urged that the implementation of National Action Plan (NAP) against terrorism be assured. The meeting comes a day after a news was aired regarding postponement of a meeting to review National Action Plan (NAP) due to Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s visit to the United States.
The Prime Minister will leave for the United States on Saturday to attend United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session where he is expected to highlight Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir and Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing’s (RAW) interference in Pakistan. -DNA
