ISLAMABAD, November 2: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has decided to be present at the Supreme Court on Thursday as it hears the case against Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif over the Panama Papers.
The decision was taken in a consultative meeting of the PTI leadership at Imran Khan’s residence at Bani Gala on Wednesday. He will be present in the apex court as his counsel Hamid Khan will plead the case.
The PTI was scheduled to hold a lockdown which was turned into a ‘Thanksgiving Day’ after the Supreme Court accepted the application and agreed to form an commission against the Prime Minister.
The Supreme Court had on Tuesday sought written replies from the government and the PTI to come up with the Terms of Reference (ToRs) on 3rd November.
A five-member bench comprising Chief Justice Anwar Zaheer Jamali, Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, Justice Amir Hani Muslim, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed and Justice Ijazul Hassan is hearing the case against the offshore companies of the family members of the Nawaz Sharif. -DNA
