
DUBAI, 11 NOV (DNA) – Former governor Dr. Ishratul Ibad on Friday complained that the federal government did not inform him about the decision prior to removing him from the office of the governor of Sindh.
The former governor backing the tweet of Pakistan People’s Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto said that he was not taken into confidence before being relieved from the office. The federal government should have informed me directly instead of through the media reports, Ibad complained in a media talk. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari had taken exception of the federal government’s decision of appointing governor of Sindh without consent of the provincial government. In a scathing tweet the PPP chairman accused the prime minister of trying to protect his “kingdom”. The provincial government of Sindh has also expressed its dismay over federal government’s ‘unilateral’ of appointing governor. Former Chief Justice Saeed-uz-Zaman Siddiqui sworn in as the 30th Governor of Sindh replacing Dr Ishratul Ibad who remained on the post for around 14 years. -DNA
