ISLAMABAD, February 26: A Pakistan Army soldier was injured as terrorists from across the border opened fire at a check post in South Waziristan on Sunday evening.
“Terrorists fire from across the border in Mangrotai, South Waziristan Agency. Pakistani soldier injured,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced in a statement.
The injured soldier was shifted to a medical facility at Wana.
“Army troops effectively responded to suspected terrorists hideouts on Pak -Afghan border,” the military’s media wing said.
Pakistan has been hit by a series of suicide bomb attacks in recent days, claiming more than 100 lives. -Agencies
