- Says 200 suspects arrested in Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad
RAWALPINDI, February 26: Pakistan army troops recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from North Waziristan Saturday.
Troops raided Shirrani, Datta khel, North Wazirastan Agency in another leg of operation Radd-ul-Fasaad.
At least 70 suspects were taken into custody in Karachi by law enforcement agencies early Saturday morning.
According to ISPR, 600 suspects were arrested in more than 200 raids conducted by the authorities in Punjab. In Lahore, nine suspects were detained from Model Town, whereas 45 people were apprehended in Vehari.
Meanwhile, countrywide operation against terrorism is successfully being conducted. Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad has resulted into numerous raids by police, Rangers and Pakistan Army soldiers against terrorists.
ISPR stated that Pakistan Army conducted an operation in Datta Khel area of North Waziristan in which a heavy weaponry including explosives was recovered.
Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad also made its way in Charsadda where six suspects were arrested with weapons. Search operations are underway in major districts including Quetta, Lahore, Pindi Bhattian, Vehari, Kundian, Layyah and Deras Ismail Khan where at least 200 suspects have been arrested till now. Rangers conducted several raids in Punjab in which they killed four terrorists and facilitators of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar. Also, many suspects were taken into custody. Agencies/NNI
