The world is getting increasingly familiar with American President Donald Trump’s tantrums.
At first most Americans or America-Watchers were not prepared to take Trump’s shock-loaded announcements seriously, but it has not taken the world societies a long time to come to the conclusion that they are up against a real threat of experiencing an American version of the German Fuehrer.
Adolf Hitler too wasn’t taken seriously at the start, but then when his ‘mighty’ and ‘inflexible’ WILL started prevailing, the world quickly started waking up to the realization that the rapid rise of the Nazi power had ominous possibilities. Martin Bormann the personal secretary of Hitler, when asked what German constitution was, replied quite emphatically “Will of the Fuehrer”
Donald Trump is doing everything to make an emphatic statement to Americans, their judiciary and the rest of the world that HIS WILL IS THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES.
Till recently the American media was laughing off this seemingly ‘insane’ statement, but then arrived a point three days back when some of the most prestigious powerful and venerated journalists were blocked from attending a White House briefing by a Trump functionary.
“No room for America’s enemies in this August place,” was the unsaid warning.
Taking on media with such ferocity seems unbelievable in these times. This is not 1930s.
But then don’t we too have a mini-Fuehrer in Mian Nawaz Sharif?
Can the likes of Dr Shahid Masood, Rauf Klasra, Aamir Mateen, Dr Danish, and Dr Moeed Pirzada be welcome in the PM House?
Trump too is unlikely not to have his own Helicopter group. There will not be dearth of Saleh Zafars in the United States.
Whether Trump goes the Hitler way or becomes America’s Nawaz Sharif will not take long to be known.
