American’s long-term policy to outsource to India the protection of its strategic interests in this region of the world, was initially outlined in the Bush era, when a nuclear agreement was signed between the two countries. Now after Modi’s plans to dominate this region, and towards that end, to take full advantage of America’s rivalry with China regarding future global domination, the strategic partnership between the two countries is growing in dimension. America is going to help India dominate and rule the Indian Ocean, and the Arabian sea.
Under the protective umbrella of the world’s leading power, India will be in a position to play the role of a bully not only towards Pakistan, but also towards various Arab countries, which till recently have looked towards Pakistan for military protection and support. In this respect the recent Defense deal of India with the UAE is quite significant as are its strong relations with Iran.
Once US unleashes India in the Asian region, both to neutralise China, and to discipline Pakistan— a new Cold War in unlikely rot to begin.
Does Pakistan have adequate leadership to meet this challenge?
