ISLAMABAD, March 21: Prime Minister Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has asked the party members to work hard to resolve the problems being faced by the people in their constituencies.
Addressing the parliamentary party meeting of PML-N in Islamabad on Tuesday, he said Pakistan’s economy has witnessed a positive turnaround and growing rapidly. Prime Minister said that speedy work is underway on various projects under the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). He said the government has initiated mega energy and infrastructure projects to address the issue of power shortage and increase connectivity in the country.
Nawaz Sharif said the government has overcome the issue of power shortages to a great extent and load shedding will be part of history by the end of next year.
Referring the overall law and order situation, especially the situation in Karachi and Baluchistan he said that we have improved it.
Prime Minister emphasized that our government is paying special attention to the development of Balochistan. He said we have ensured complete transparency in the execution of the projects and never compromised on standard.
Meanwhile according to media reports Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that former president general (retd) Pervez Musharraf wanted to do an underhand deal in 2007, which he turned down at that time.
He said that the ex-military ruler sent an indirect message that he is interested in solving issues.
The premier said that he doesn’t believe in clandestine deals. He said that he was made to leave Pakistan during bad times and wasn’t allowed to come back too. “Now Musharraf can’t come back to Pakistan, this is retribution,” he added.
PM Nawaz Sharif instructed the body to ramp up preparations for General Elections 2018. He announced to visit all provinces before the elections. PM Nawaz said that certain politicians only carry out negative politics.
He said that the people have rejected those who resort to negative politics. He also talked about China-Pakistan Economic Corridor, Liquefied Natural Gas and electricity supply.
The premier vowed that the country would be made self-sufficient in electricity and natural gas. – Sabah
