STOCKHOLM, February 20:Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry has emphasized the need to enhance trade and investment between Pakistan and Sweden.
He was talking to his Swedish counterpart Annika Soder and other senior Swedish officials in Stockholm.
The Foreign Secretary urged Swedish investment in energy, transport and defence sectors.
He briefed the Swedish officials on Pakistan’s successful counterterrorism efforts as well as steps taken for economic revival.
The Foreign Secretary briefed his Swedish interlocutor on Pakistan’s efforts for peace and reconciliation in Afghanistan and recent developments in Pakistan-India relations.
During the meeting, both sides agreed to boost cooperation on the positive momentum generated by the meeting between Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his Swedish counterpart Stefan Lofven last year.-SABAH
