Trump is a trigger-happy,whimsical and short-sighted man like Nirendra Modi.The one thing that is common in both of them is their hatred for Muslims who should,therefore,expect no good from the present tenant of the White House.Lately,he has been flexing his muscle to Iran and by his belligerent rhetoric has created a war-like atmosphere in the Middle East.Whether the US is being egged on by the Saudis to take on its arch rival,Iran,or it has its own scores to settle with Tehran over its allegation that Iran is making Atomic bomb is beside the point.The situation has certainly not deteriorated to the extent that the American president should have jumped the gun.If Washington has had any proof that Tehran is pursuing any policy which is detrimental to the world peace the proper course for it was to have got the matter probed through a high-powered commission of the UN instead of indulging in sabre-rattling and creating a war hysteria.
The Americans are prone to bungling.Did not they bungle in Vietnam back in 1960s?Again didn’t they fumble in Iraq as well as in Afghanistan?They had invaded Iraq by telling lies that Saddam had weapons of mass destruction.In Afghanistan they are fighting a losing battle since nine-eleven.
Many American senators have sounded a bell of warning to Trump not to open new war front in Iran without the sanction of the American Congress otherwise it would be an unconstitutional act on his part.He has been cautioned that in case Iran was invaded the Iranians would start striking at all the American interests wherever they could find them in the world.
