AbdulBasitINDIA, March 8: Pakistan Ambassador to India Abdul Basit said he will protect Pakistan’s interest at any cost, sources reported. He was replying to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) allegations of being a spy of ISI.
While talking to the media the Pakistani Ambassador said he is an agent of Pakistan and that he has nothing to hide about it.
“ISI is spy agency of my state and I am proud of it,” he added.
Meanwhile, the protest against Pakistan-India Cricket match at Dharamshala is still going on in India. The protestors have said they will not let Pakistan play in India.
“The Chief Minister of Himachal Pardesh has also said that if the retired military personnel will join the protest than he cannot do anything,” Basit said.
Extremist Hindu organizations along with moderate political parties like Congress and Aam Awam Party are also against the Pakistan-India match. The protests have continuously been conducted against the match.
A Pakistani security team is visiting Dharamshala to gauge the security arrangements and situation for Pakistani Cricket team in India.-Agencies
