PTI, PML-Q to be allied in LB elections in Punjab, negotiations start

KARACHI, December 20: Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, during his meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has said talks with Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) will continue to bring joint candidates in local body elections.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Chaudhry Parvez Elahi called on Usman Buzdar at Chief Minister’s Office, where the two leaders consulted on the issue of their joint participation in local body elections.
CM Buzdar has said under the new local government system, powers will be transferred to the lower level in real sense. The process of consultation with the coalition party will continue, said Buzdar
CM has said the people of the province will continue to work together to provide relief. Usman Buzdar. Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) has an excellent working relationship, said Usman Buzdar.
Buzdar has also said PML-Q is our ally party and our alliance is stronger than before. Regardless of the criticism, the journey of serving the people will be accelerated, Buzdar added.
Parvez Elahi has said PML-Q is advancing the alliance with sincerity. He said that we are advancing the alliance with sincerity, we are and will remain allies of the government, talks and consultations will continue in the future to bring forward joint candidates in the local body elections.
Meanwhile, Buzdar prayed for speedy recovery of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain. Furthermore, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi also presented a gift of Quranic verses and hadith framed with reference to the end of Prophethood to Chief Minister Usman Buzdar.
While, the delegation led by Parvez Elahi, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Amir Jan, Secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti and concerned officials were present on the occasion. -DNA
