RAWALPINDI, December 20: Kyrgyz Deputy Foreign Minister Dr Aibek Artykbaev has stressed on enhancing exchange of trade delegations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The Kyrgyz deputy foreign minister said this during his visit to the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) along with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ulanbek Totuiaev on the sidelines of the 17th extraordinary session of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation’s (OIC) Council of Foreign Ministers, said a statement issued on Monday.
RCCI President Nadeem Rauf, Group Leader Sohail Altaf, Senior Vice President Asim Malik, Vice President Talat Awan and members of the executive committee were present on the occasion.
Dr Artykbaev exchanged views on issues of bilateral importance and trade relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan and stressed on enhancing exchange of delegations at the chamber level. He said that Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan have deep friendly relations.
Ambassador Ulanbek Totuiaev said that the volume of bilateral trade is only close to $1.8 million, which can be further increased.
Nadeem Rauf gave a detailed briefing to the deputy foreign minister on the ongoing activities of the chamber and future programmes. He said that there is a huge potential in the tourism sector for enhancing bilateral trade relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan. – TLTP
