The Xinhua news agency published an article on the participation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev in the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing on 4-5 February.
As noted, the visit of the leader of Uzbekistan to China will further strengthen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. The history of relations between the Uzbek and Chinese peoples dates back to the era of the Great Silk Road.
Thanks to the personal relationship between the leaders of the two countries, favorable conditions have been created for promoting multifaceted long-term cooperation between Uzbekistan and China, the material emphasizes.
In recent years, China has been a leading trade and economic partner of Uzbekistan. Chinese companies are widely represented in various sectors of the Uzbek economy, such as telecommunications, agriculture, and the production of high-tech goods, the Agency emphasizes.
The article states that despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Uzbekistan and China are making efforts to restore the economy. This can be seen from the dynamics of Chinese investments in the economy of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Speaking about the priorities of bilateral cooperation, Xinhua News Agency highlights the transport and logistics sector.
