PM expresses satisfaction over Pak-Turkey economic coop

ISLAMABAD, March 22: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that Pakistani and Turkish leadership share vision of transforming the traditionally cordial bilateral ties into a robust economic partnership.
He was talking to Turkish Minister of Economy Mustafa Elitas in Islamabad on Tuesday. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over the growing Pakistan-Turkey economic collaboration. He said Ministry of Commerce has been directed to complete negotiations on Free Trade Agreement by September this year.
He said Pakistan deeply appreciates Turkish Government’s efforts encouraging Turkish companies to participate in energy and infrastructure projects in Pakistan. He said Turkish support in energy, transportation, low-cost housing, and SME development in Province of Punjab is taking our relations to new heights.
Referring to recent incidents of terrorism in Turkey, the Prime Minister reiterated Pakistan’s strong solidarity with the people and government of Turkey. He expressed the confidence that Turkey will decisively defeat the scourge of terrorism with their strong resolve and determination.
The Turkish Minister for Economy said that there is significant potential for translating the traditional and brotherly relations between Pakistan and Turkey into strong trade relationship. -DNA
