PESHAWAR, March 25: KP Finance Minister Muzaffar Said Advocate has asserted that the present provincial government was endeavouring to promote quality education that could open new vistas of research and innovation as well as our youth had surety of jobs and their talent flourished by leaps and bounds. “Collosal funds are spent for this purpose”,he added.
He was addressing the parents day function at Afaq Model School in Karak on Friday. It besides students, teachers and parents in large number was also attended by Secretary and Controller Kohat Education Baord, EDO Education and other concerned authorities.
Finance Minsiter asked the parents not to leave their their at merey of teachers only but take full interest in their curricular and co-curricular activities so that standard of the education and character-building of the new generation could be raised and fruits of the huge government expenditures on education could be achieved accordingly.
Referring to the development of southern districts including Karak, he said that these backward areas would get immense importance like Gulf States being replete with wealth of oil & gas, adding that its people would not bother to travel to overseas countries for jobs but would become sources of providing economic opportunities to millions of other people locally. He said KP government was taking serious steps for exploiting the mineral reservoirs available underneath here. He said besides establishing oil refinery here, billions of funds were also sought for these areas in oil and gas cess under NFC award.
