Deputy Chairman of the abinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov met with representatives of the Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology (Russia), the Cabinet of Ministers reported Saturday. During the meeting, the prospects of cooperation in the field of innovation and projects for the development of modern technologies were discussed. Edil Baisalov noted that the development of innovative sphere is one of the priorities of the Kyrgyz Cabinet.
“We want to attract innovative technologies to our country, which will become catalysts of economic development,” the deputy chairman of the Cabinet said.
He also added that the Cabinet of Ministers is ready to support active implementation of digital innovations in all spheres of human activity, including the provision of banking or government services, research of historical events, as well as in larger projects concerning the development of digital economy in general.
In turn, Alexander Safonov, the Vice President for Development at Skolkovo noted that Skoltech, as a university whose main goal is not only to conduct advanced fundamental and applied research, but also to train a new generation of highly qualified specialists in science, technology and business, is interested in cooperation with new countries and entering new markets.
He expressed interest in supporting domestic startups and invited the leadership of the Cabinet of Ministers to visit the Skolkovo Innovation Center and Skoltech. – Kabar
