Pop star Madonna is said to be smitten with a 25-year-old model.
She is said to be spending a lot of time with Aboubakar Soumahoro, who used to work as a shop assistant at Harrods.
Madonna’s friends claim that the two were introduced by a mutual friend at a showbiz party in November last year, and weeks later, Soumahoro visited the 57-year-old singer at her home in London.
Soumahoro, who is from the Ivory Coast and is known to his friends as Brooklin, was also at her side during the South American leg of her Rebel Heart tour.
“They were at a party together back in November when they got chatting, and hit it off straight away. Over the next few weeks, they got together a couple more times and she invited him over to her place, where they sat up all night talking. “The next thing we heard, he had quit his job and had gone out to meet her on tour. It’s obviously a very close friendship,” said one of Madonna’s friends. A spokesman for Madonna declined to comment on claims of the relationship.
The singer is currently in a custody dispute over her son Rocco with former husband Guy Ritchie. – MD
