An MoU has been signed between AIOU, Islamabad and Indonesian Open University, Terbuka in Indonesia on Tuesday.

ISLAMABAD, August 2: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has achieved another significant milestone in its international collaborations and linkages program. AIOU has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universitas Terbuka (Indonesia Open University), Indonesia.
According to the MoU, both the universities will initiate joint projects to enhance the quality of distance learning and collaborate academically to offer new educational programs in various disciplines as well as seek benefits from their mutual experiences and specialized expertise to enhance not only the quality of education but also to promote and strengthen research practices and culture at both the universities. Furthermore, it will also open new opportunities for faculty and student exchange programs.
The ceremony was held at Indonesia Open University. Prof Dr. Zia ulQayyum, VC, AIOU and Prof OjatDarojat, Rector, Indonesia Open University, Indonesia signed the MoU. While talking to the media, Dr. Zia Ul-Qayyum said that these kinds of collaborations will help to improve the quality of research and education. He said that universities have to work together to cope up with the challenges of open and distance learning. Appreciating the learning system and educational network of AIOU, Prof. Ojat said that we will keep working together to strengthen our collaborative efforts.-PR
