ISLAMABAD, August 2: Federal Minister Chaudhary SalikHussain welcomed an Omani delegation led by Dr. Anwar Al Balushi Chairman, Al Anvwar Asian Investments, Syed Najam Saeed, CEO RAILCOP and Mr. TauseefZaman, CEO Bil Pakistan at his office today on 2nd August, 2022.
Federal Minister welcomed the delegation at his office. SalikHussain assured the delegation of full support and complete cooperation. SalikHussain said that he will facilitate and expedite the process of investing in Pakistan by the Omani Company.
Minister was briefed that the project that the Omani group is interested in is worth $2.3 Bn i.e. the Besimah-Jacobabad railway line. Minister assured the delegate that they will be accommodated in every way possible.
Dr. Anwar Baluchi briefed Minister that he is interested in Railway Infrastructure Development projects and power projects in Pakistan. He identified the construction of rail link from Gwadar to Jacobabad (track length 1,087 Km) and as a first tranche of financing, his company is ready to transfer $500 Million to Pakistan for this rail link project. Moreover, he said that he can offer financing/loans for undertaking other projects also. He said that he will work together to improve bilateral relations and strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
Both delegates agreed to enhance bilateral relations through mutually beneficial development projects.-PR
