ISLAMABAD, March 31: Pakistan has apprised the ambassadors of P-5 and European Union about the arrest of India’s state-sponsored terrorist Kulbhushan Yadev engaged in subversive terrorist activities in the country.
Addressing weekly media briefing in Islamabad today, Foreign Office spokesman Nafees Zakaria said international community will be kept informed about the latest developments as investigation progresses and more evidence becomes available.
He said the arrest of RAW agent has exposed Indian designs against Pakistan. The spokesperson said that Indian request for counsulor access to Kulbhushan Yadav is under consideration. He said the government is in contact with Tehran on RAW activities from its soil against Pakistan.
He said Iran has assured that it will not allow its soil to be used against Pakistan. Nafees Zakaria said the government will be able to comment on the level of Indian cooperation with Pakistan’s joint investigation team probing Pathankot terror attack after the team returns home.
He said modalities are being worked out for resumption of Pak-India foreign-secretary level talks. The spokesman reiterated the government’s resolve to bring perpetrators of Lahore terror attack to justice and continue efforts to eliminate terrorism. He appreciated Continued on page 7
