Pakistan Air Force is assisting Civil Administration in flood relief and rescue efforts

ISLAMABAD, August 19: Emergency Response teams of Pakistan Air Force are assisting civil administration in rescue and relief efforts in the flood affected areas of South Punjab, Balochistan and Sindh. Emergency Response teams are constantly busy in supplying basic food necessities and medical care to flood affectees. Hundreds of locals trapped during floods in KotMagsi, Bagh head, Habib Kot, Sohbatpur, Fazilpur and Hajipur areas have been evacuated to safe places.
PAF Bases are actively participating in relief operations on the special instructions of Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force. PAF has also established free medical camps where people are being provided medical facilities and free medicines. As a humanitarian gesture 99805 pounds of ration and cooked food packs have been distributed amongst the needy families. Moreover 2889 patients were also attended by the paramedical team of Pakistan Air Force in last 24 hours. Relief operations are still in progress.-PR
