A Presidential resolution “On measures to raise the sphere of information and communication technologies to a new level in 2022-2023” was adopted, UzDaily reported. In accordance with the Resolution, the main tasks for the further development of the field of information and communication technologies in 2022-2023 were defined.
Until the end of 2022, the level of coverage of settlements with a broadband mobile communication network will be increased to 98 percent, with high-speed mobile Internet along international highways – up to 60 percent.
The level of coverage of fiber optic communication lines will be increased to 80 percent by building 40,000 km of fiber optic communication lines.
The number of users of electronic public services will be increased up to 2 times by involving the private sector in the provision of these services.
Until the end of 2023, in the field of digital technologies, more than 6.5 thousand young people will be trained annually in the direction of “information technology”. More than 214 information systems and software products will be introduced in government bodies, including local government bodies and enterprises in the real sector of the economy. From 1 September 2022, centers for the export of remote services using information and communication technologies will be gradually established in all regions of the republic. From 1 January 2023, the Unified Platform of the Portal of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan will be launched, including the official websites and portals of the relevant state bodies (24), according to the “One Stop Shop” principle.
