ISLAMABAD, August 30: The Acting High Commissioner of Malaysia MrDeddy Faisal bin Ahmad Salleh has said that Malaysia has become one of the most preferable study destinations by the Pakistani students as it is the house of the world’s leading educational institutions. Offering degrees that are well-recognised globally, Malaysian Universities rank in the world’s top universities and a total of 13 in the top 600 according to QS World University Rankings 2023.
This he said while addressing the Study in Malaysia Education Fair in Islamabad here on Tuesday.
The envoy added that Malaysia also offers affordability in many areas, from food, travelling, transportation and the tuition fees. The average total tuition fees per annum are approximately at US$ 4,400 for public universities & US$ 4,970 for private universities.
The envoy added that other considerations for choosing Malaysia as study destination is that Malaysia has safe, peaceful, and vibrant communities. Malaysia is currently ranked 20th in the world’s most peaceful country based on the 2020 Global Security Index (GPI) report.
The Education Fair is hosted by the Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS), a company under the purview of the Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. It is also the principal body that manages the movement of international students in Malaysia, including facilitating visa processing for the benefit of the students who are aspiring for higher studies in Malaysia. As many as 9 leading universities of Malaysia have been invited to participate in the expo including the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), University Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM), Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU), Imperium International College, Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia, UNITAR International University, UCSI University, Open University Malaysia (OUM), SEGi University and Colleges.
EMGS plans to regularly hold education expo so that more and more students from Pakistan could benefit from study options in Malaysia.
