ISLAMABAD, August 31: Federal Law Minister Nazir Tarar targeting Imran Khan has said a person guilty of contempt of court cannot be released without being punished.
Talking to media persons in Islamabad Wednesday, Law Minister said it has been decided to conduct a forensic audit of the Leaked Audio Call of Shaukat Tarin. “Legal action will be taken after the forensic report and the government is committed to dealing with anti-state voices with an iron hand”, he added.
Nazir Tarar further stated that there is an impression about Imran Khan that he is pampered and law should apply to Imran Khan like everyone else. “PML-N leaders Nehal Hashmi, Talal Chaudhary, and Daniyal Aziz were sentenced for contempt of court. Talal Chaudhary and Sheikh Waseem were not given time to submit the reply again and Nehal Hashmi had to serve jail in the contempt case,” he rued. -DNA
