RAWALPINDI, April 5: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan says government will establish six mega passport and NADRA centers in different parts of the country.
He was talking to newsmen after inaugurating passport and NADRA’s mega center in Rehmanabad area of Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
He said the mega centers would according to the international standard with the aim to provide best ever facilities to the people.
He said NADRA earned five billion rupees during last year while this year earned six billion rupees.
Chaudhry Nisar said passport office generated revenue of twenty-two billion rupees this year. He said over one hundred thousand National Identity Cards have been blocked. Similarly scores of Afghans national identity cards have also been blocked. Two hundred employees have been removed over corrupt practice.
He said action would be taken against the corrupt elements and in this regard action is being taken in NADRA. Earlier, he visited different parts of passport and NADRA mega center. He hailed the services of passport and NADRA officials.-Sabah
