SRINAGAR, April 11: In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani has appealed to the international community and human rights organizations to take cognizance of the killing of Kashmiris in and outside the territory.
Syed Ali Geelani in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Kashmiris are neither safe in their houses nor any part of India. India and its intelligentsia have waged war on Kashmiris in practical terms and they are being harassed everywhere on one or another pretext.”
He said this after Kashmiri students are targeted in Jodhpur, Hyderabad and Jammu by BJP-backed goons.
Meanwhile, complete shutdown will be observed across the territory, today (Tuesday), against the growing attacks on Kashmiri students in various states of India.
Call for the shutdown has been given by the All Parties Hurriyet Conference Chairman, Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik. The strike is also aimed at protesting against the vandalization of martyrs’ graveyard at Karimabad in Pulwama by Indian troops and oppressive measures unleashed by Indian forces against the Kashmiris.-KMS
