PESHAWAR, April 14: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister for Health, Shahram Khan Tarakai has said that the present provincial government has taken unprecedented and result oriented measures for strengthening the health sector as well as for the well being of health employees including doctors, paramedics and nurses adding that the provincial government has played its part very well for strengthening the healthcare system and now its time that doctors and other health practitioners should step forward to supplement the government’s efforts in restoring the public trust on our healthcare delivery system.
He was addressing as pro-chancellor the 3rdconvocation of Khyber Girls Medical College in Peshawar. He stressed upon the medical graduates to strictly adhere to the oath they take while receiving their degrees as it contains all that which is necessary to make them a good doctor and a good human being at the same time. He termed medical profession as a noble one and urged upon the young doctors to attach prime importance to the better service of the ailing humanity and mitigate the sufferings of poor patients.-PR
