ISLAMABAD, January 13: Corruption in all its forms has been recognized as one of the most important factor hindering the progress of our country. NAB on the directions of Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, Chairman NAB who is committed to eradicate corruption from the country across the board by adopting Zero Tolerance Policy has initiated a vigorous campaign to curb corruption by creating awareness among all segments of society particularly women and youth.
In this context, DG, (A&P), NAB visited Roots School, Islamabad to involve the future generation in the fight against corruption. She emphasised that it is important that the youth has joined NAB in its campaign “Say No to Corruption” which is very encouraging.
DG, (A&P), NAB urged the youth to make their parents proud of what they are and to appreciate their efforts for the family. She sensitized the audience that as “charity begins at home” similarly “accountability begins at home”. She also said that corruption is the mother of all evils and reminded words of father of the nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah that corruption is a poison and we must put it down with iron hand.
DG, (A&P), NAB said that under the leadership of Chairman NAB, Awareness and Prevention Division of NAB has intensified the awareness campaign against corruption and is using different forums for spreading the message “Say No to Corruption” throughout the country. A Postal Stamp with the message “Say No to Corruption” has been issued by NAB in collaboration with Pakistan Post. The said message is also printed on utility bills through IESCO, SNGPL, PTCL, NTC, CNIC carrier paper through NADRA, Driving Licenses through Islamabad Traffic Police, Newspapers of Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan. The message “Say No to Corruption” is also being flashed on ATM Screens of all banks as well as video message on the Cinema Screens after National Anthem across the country.-PR
