PESHAWAR, April 24: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muzafar Said has been cleared of allegations in regard to the Bank of Khyber corruption case the committee investigating the matter.
The tussle between the Provincial Financial Minister and the Bank of Khyber assumed a rather complex form. The provincial government and top-level bureaucracy is also confronting one another in the entire situation.
The committee formed to probe into the matter has given clean chit to Muzafar Said regarding the entire situation and has held the Managing Director (MD) Bank of Khyber responsible for the whole scenario.
According to the report of the investigation committee, MD Bank of Khyber has been unable to prove the allegations leveled against Said in regards to illegal recruitments and financial irregularities.
The report has been forwarded to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister (CM) Pervaiz Khattak, who shall make a decision in regards to the matter within the next two weeks. Meanwhile, a compensatory notice of Rs 10 crore has been sent to MD Bank of Khyber by Muzafar Said.
The matter has resulted in widening of gaps amid the provincial government and its allies and has even gotten complex with the involvement of the top-level bureaucracy.-NNI
