ISLAMABAD, May 08: Finance Minister Senator Muhammad Ishaq Dar says the government is sincere to resolve the issue of Terms of Reference for judicial commission on the Panama leaks with consensus of all the political parties.
In an interview with a private TV channel he said the opposition should display some seriousness to get the matter resolved instead doing politics over it.
The Minister said the government is ready to hold dialogue with all the political parties for developing consensus, but no one will be allowed to halt the country’s development process in the wake of political point scoring.
He said it is very unfortunate that when the country is moving on the path of development, the issues like Panama Papers have been created to halt the speedy progress. Ishaq Dar said the government has prepared very professional and comprehensive ToRs for the judicial commission, while the ToRs sent by the opposition are ‘family specific.’ To a question, he said the budget for the next fiscal year will be presented on the 3rd of the next month.-SABAH
