KhursheedShahISLAMABAD, May 9: Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah stated on Monday that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif should explain his stance about the investigation of the Panama Leaks issue in the Parliament, sources reported.
While addressing the meeting of the Parliamentary leaders of the opposition parties in the Parliament House on Monday, Shah said that the opposition is not at fight with the government. He added that he awaits the reply to the letter he wrote to the PM regarding the Terms of References (TORs) of the investigation commission probing into the matter; further stating that Parliament is the one forum through which Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) fought its battles.
Shah said that the PM should explain his stance in the Parliament as he himself says that all issues must be discussed within the Parliament, he also stated that the PM should bring forth details regarding his assets and tax returns in the Parliament as well. Leader of the Opposition said that demand will be made to have discussion upon the adjournment motion submitted by Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, adding that if permission is not granted to speak within the Parliament then the opposition parties shall organise a protest against the government.-Agencies
