ISLAMABAD, May 10: Prime Minister’s Advisor on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said Pakistan and European Union enjoy excellent relations, which have seen new heights in the past few years.
He expressed these views while speaking on the occasion of Europe Day function arranged by the Head of European Delegation Jean François Cautain.
Sartaj Aziz further said European Union ever since its inception in early 1950s as coal and steel community, has never looked back. The EU is unique in many ways and has set some worth-emulating precedents.
The advisor further said relations between Pakistan and EU have intensified after GSP plus status due to which about 80 Pakistani products can now have access to EU markets.
The Ambassador/Head of European Delegation in his speech thanked the audience for attending the reception. He hoped relations between EU and Pakistan would grow in the comings days. A large number of audience attended the reception. The audience included diplomats, members of civil society, academicians and representatives of media.-DNA
