- Says China-Pakistan Economic Corridor project to be completed at any cost
- Says there is no option of failure in war against terrorism

ISLAMABAD, June 1: Army Chief General Raheel Sharif has said that US drone strike inside Pakistan is regrettable. He said drone attacks are violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and could not be accepted. He said China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project will be completed at any cost. He said there is no option of failure in war against terrorism, adding that the operation Zarb-e-Azb is moving forward successfully.
While talking to media informally after attending the joint session of parliament Army Chief General Raheel Sharif said that condemnation is a very small word for drone attack, adding that the drone attack is the violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty. He said drone strikes are unacceptable. He said strong protest has been lodged with US over the drone strike. He said that the issue has been raised at every forum. He said the US drone strikes are regrettable and should be stopped. He said the efforts are being made to resolve the issue of F-16, adding that it is right of Pakistan to secure F-16. He said Air Chief is in contact with US officials regarding the issue of F-16. He said many steps have been taken for border management with Afghanistan. He said 58 percent IPDs has been sent back in North Waziristan Agency (NWA). He said all IDPs will be sent back till November. He said 99 percent success has been achieved in war against terrorism. He said 100 percent targets will be achieved for the elimination of terrorism. He said terrorists will not be allowed to return back again. He said that circumstances of Balochistan has been improved, adding that progress has been made in internal stability. He said work on development projects in Balochistan is underway. He said though there is shortage of resources but there is strong national resolve regarding national peace and development. He said Pakistan and China are in close contact with each other regarding CPEC project, adding that CPEC project will be completed at any cost. He said no one would be allowed to sabotage the CPEC project. He said menace of terrorism will eliminated while using all resources. He said we are standing on turning point but the national resolve is commendable. Army chief said special attention is being paid to infrastructure and education in tribal areas. He said when the IDPs were informed that they will return back to their respective areas during the current year they were not ready to believe. President Mamnoon Hussain, Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani, Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Opposition Leader in NA Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah and other parliamentary leaders were also present on the occasion.-Sabah
