- Scheme to benefit eighteen hundred thousand families: Imran Khan
PESHAWAR, June 26: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has announced to launch Health Insurance Card Scheme in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Addressing a news conference along with Chief Minister Pervez Khattak in Peshawar on Sunday, he said that the scheme will benefit eighteen hundred thousand families in the entire province. Imran Khan said under the health insurance scheme, two hundred ten thousand rupees will be given to each family.
He said despite financial constraints, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government increased health budget from eight billion to twenty five billion rupees, which shows its sincerity. The PTI chief said the government introduced exemplary reforms in the health sector. However, some people are putting obstacles in implementation of these reforms. Speaking on this occasion, the Chief Minister Pervez Khattak said the government will utilize all available resources for uplift of health sector. He said the government introduced reforms with consultation of doctors and paramedical staff.-Online
