
KARACHI, July 1: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Friday stated that movement against the government shall be initiated after Eid-ul-Fitr, adding that he can foresee the demise of the rulers of the country.
While conversing with the media after his arrival in Karachi, Khan said that peace cannot be established in the city until the police gets depoliticised, adding that the system of governance also needs to be changed.
“Nawaz Sharif was involved in theft, now he says he himself will make the laws (for investigation),” Khan said. He further stated that Sharif brothers had bribed members of the judiciary, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) and those belonging to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
He added that the Sharif brothers took loans worth Rs 4 billion prior to the 2013 general elections. He said that Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif was afraid of being held accountable as he was afraid of probing into rigging against four constituencies.
PTI Chairman said that land in Karachi had been finalised for the construction of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital (SKMCH).
Khan stated that a car having tinted windows hit her younger sister Dr Uzma Khan’s car in Lahore. He added that the car belonged to some prominent personality, further stating that policemen present there also pointed out their guns towards her.
Earlier, Dr Uzma Khan accused that a vehicle which was part of Maryam Nawaz’s motorcade hit her car but the Prime Minister’s daughter rejected the allegation. -NNI
