ISLAMABAD, July 15: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Arif Alvi on Friday wrote a letter to Public Accounts Committee (PAC) Chairman Khurshid Shah regarding the investigation of the ongoing Panama Leaks issue.
Alvi stated in the letter that a number of institutions of the country, including the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), have not initiated investigation against the Panama Leaks issue despite three months passing since the matter surfaced.
PTI leader demanded in the letter that these institutions be issued summons for explaining their stance.
Alvi further stated in his letter that investigation should be carried out against those named in the Panama Papers, further stating that notices should also be issued to them. -DNA
