LAHORE, July 15 (NNI): Awami Muslim League (AML) leader Sheikh Rasheed Ahmad on Friday filed reference in the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) for the disqualification of Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif.
Sheikh Rasheed took the stance that PM should be disqualified on the basis that he hid his assets out of the country. AML leader stated in the reference that PM Nawaz did not mention about his assets in the tax returns he filed in 2013 thus he should be disqualified from his post.
This the ECP regarding the PM’s disqualification. Leaders belonging to various political parties, including Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), have also filed references for the Prime Minister’s disqualification.- NNI
