ISLAMABAD, July 27: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday said that China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and energy projects will create lot of business and employment opportunities in Pakistan.
He was talking to a delegation of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Islamabad.
The President lauded economic achievements of the government and expressed satisfaction that the country is moving in the right direction.
The President noted that the achievements on the economic front have been acknowledged by International Financial Institutions and Pakistan has also been categorized in the emerging markets.
Mamnoon Hussain said that the present government is committed to facilitating the business community and providing conductive business environment to boost economic growth.
Meanwhile, President Mamnoon Hussain has appreciated the work of Auditor General and emphasized the need for further improving the audit system to deliver even better results.Talking to Auditor General of Pakistan Rana Assad Amin, he said audit of public sector spending is very essential to ensure transparency, judicious utilization of money and accountability. The President also appreciated the improvement in performance of the office of Auditor General and noted with satisfaction that this office has made recoveries worth billions of rupees.-DNA
